One project.
One community.
A multitude of disciplines and perspectives.
A collaborative effort.
Ottawa'26. Join now!
In one of Ottawa’s neighborhoods, we are creating a community based on a new, integral approach to lifelong learning.
A learning place where children pursue their own developmental paths without school, with spaces dedicated to inner and outer growth, movement, arts and crafts, embedded in a network of skilled people offering a multitude of learning opportunities.
A living place that offers housing, working space, gardening, and communal spaces. A place for families with or without children, an inclusive community of belonging, guided by the agency and potential of each individual and of the collective.
A transformative place, redefining urban development, founded on the principle of regenerating nature to build resilient communities. This community will be at the heart of a strong, locally-focused economy.
A project to profoundly transform our society. That’s what Ottawa ‘26 is about.
I‘m Gabriel Fehrenbach, author and facilitator, father of seven children. Since my first child went to school, I have harbored a dream of bringing learning back into our communities by embedding it in all aspects of life: working, housing, arts and crafts. Now it’s time to make this idea a reality.
For the core team that will advance the project, I’m looking for people who can cover all the necessary domains: law, urban development, ecology, finance, architecture, art, craft, and economics.
If you join me, we can co-create an extraordinary place where you can thrive to your full potential, transform society, and learn new ways of leading, working together, and learning.
If you are open-minded, self-driven, and curious, let’s talk to each other: ottawa26@studio.gf
